Visit the Moon (as sung by Ernie from Sesame Street)

I thought it was my imagination that the moon looked gigantic last night- a beautiful, glowing orb of pale luminescence adorning the sky... Apparently, the moon was closer to the earth last night than it has been in 15 years, as documented by an article in the Daliy Mail (British newspaper). Here's a link to it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1094097/Over-moon-The-lunar-spectacle-bigger-brighter-missed-it.html

To anyone who didn't see it, or did see it and grasp what all the fuss is about, just know that it's the MOON! I love the moon because it's pretty and mysterious, and unreachable (by Greyhound, anyway).

I leave you with these lyrics, to get more in the mood of what I saw last night, staring up at the big, softly shiny rock up there:

Well I'd like to visit the moon,
on a rocket ship high in the air.
Yes, I'd like to visit the moon,
but I don't think I'd like to live there.
Though, I'd like like to look down from the earth from above,
I would miss all the places and people I love
so although I might like for one afternoon
I don't wanna live on the moon.

I was out until ten and did not even notice. I do live a sad existence...
Lovely poetry.
